ABOUT THE
BABYLON
VILLAGE
CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE
In 1971, the Babylon Board of Trade was founded with the mission of putting Babylon Village on the map. Ten years later in 1981, the same organization became the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce that we know today.

In its over 40 years as an advocate for all of Babylon Village businesses, the Chamber has seen and encouraged the village’s growth making our quaint village a thriving business community.

The Chamber is working creatively to find new ways to improve the business climate in our community and establish Babylon as an economic leader on Long Island’s South Shore.
By joining the Chamber, you are investing in a thriving and dynamic future for Babylon Village.
BABYLON'S
RICH HISTORY
The Village of Babylon incorporated in 1893. Following World War II, the area burst with activity, providing homes for returning veterans.
With convenient train service to New York City, commuters, then like now, found Babylon a great place to live and raise a family.
Babylon Village today is part suburban community, part small-town, and has a well known and sought after business scene! The Village is best known for its restaurants and shops, and hosts shopping events during the fall as well as a popular crafts fair.

Babylon’s 140-year stint as a hub on the Long Island Rail Road creates a wonderful economic balance between a small town, shop small mantra & a fast paced Manhattan mentality. Babylon’s location of being beach-front as well as having direct access to Manhattan yields a unique person, equal part urban and beach goer.
